Housed in an 8-storey corner building, the Hi Hotel has a relatively unremarkable white façade, which belies its designer interior. The medium sized lobby features bright splashes of colour, which offer an eye-catching contrast to the sombre grey walls. The reception desk is console-shaped and just large enough to comfortably accommodate the hotel computer for check in/out. To the right of the lobby is a seating area. Laid out in a very up to date, open-plan style, the 38 guestrooms have bathrooms separated from the bedrooms only by coloured or transparent screens. As with the public areas, the bedrooms are decorated in strong, vibrant colour schemes, complemented by light wood furnishings and epoxy resin floors. The bar and restaurant area is situated downstairs from the lobby. A long narrow space, with olive green décor and colourful furniture, it has as its centrepiece a suspended, basket-style seating area. Completely organic food is available self-service throughout the day, in glass fronted, refrigerated shelves. The restaurant leads on to a verdant inner courtyard, furnished with wooden tables and attractive green chairs. There’s also a roof-top pool, offers panoramic views of the beach.
