Buffet breakfast and staff in the breakfast restaurant very disappointing for a 4 star hotel - wrote a letter of complaint to general manager of hotel. Roof top bar not more than a youth club providing entertainment for the young bar man's local friends - no at all welcoming or inviting you to have a drink

I was happy with the hotel but didn't think the hotel was really a four star, more like three star. I stayed on third floor and the hallway looked like it needed modernisation. The room was good, bathroom looked partly modernised.

Very disappointed to be told on arrival that there wasn't a room for us allegedly due to the reservation system but we suspected we had been pushed out by a conference. A room had been booked in an hotel 5 mins away for the first night but it did take a valuable 2 hours out of a short break and we had the hassle of returning the following day.
Top Tip
The market which is set up in the evening following the flower market is good fun with very good and reasonable restaurants alongside.

Suberb hotel, really close to all the facilities of Nice, France. Very big bedroom with a double and single bed for the 2 of us. Large bathroom, toiletries replenished in bathroom every day plus plenty of towels. Great choice at buffet breakfast.

Use the tram only 1 euro per journey and really handy for getting to the railway station or just exploring. If travelling to or from the airport use the bus only 4 euros each (catch the number 99)taxis currently cost 35 euros plus tip.
Loads of eating places around Nice, very reasonably priced menu at Taverne Messena and varied menu, their pizzas are delicious, also try Cote d' Provence rose wine (small carafe for 8 euros 40). Get the train to Monaco only takes 12-17 mins and costs 6 euros each return and well worth a visit. Shame about the current rate of exchange, got 1.22 before I travelled from First Choice.

Excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff. I had read negative reports but frankly I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Lovely hotel room with balcony with a sea-view. Breakfast had a good selection with lovely coffee. We didn't eat an evening meal or drink in the hotel bar as they were very expensive but there was so many bars/restaurants surrounding the hotel we were spoilt for choice.

Cocktail/Lounge Bar permanently closed, Terrace bar sitting area unavailable due to private drinks party.
Nowhere to sit out.
No swimming pool is a negative.
Friendly staff, good location, disappointing facilities for a 4 star hotel.

An hotel more for the Businessman than for the tourist.
Tea/coffee making facilities in room would be an idea to consider.
Top Tip
When dining out consider sharing starters and desserts as they are quite filling.
Restuarant prices are comparable in all areas of the town except for the hotels on the front. (Baie des Anges)

Arrived to find out we had been overbooked in hotel! Moved to Boscolo Park - ok but not as good as Plaza. Staff not too willing to offer any sort of apology or upgrade- eventually did after one hour of negotiation! Not good start to 3 day break. Review above is based on Park Hotel.

Hotel in excellent location and ideal for all of major tourist spots in Nice.
